The Tunnel

The Tunnel is a dark horror/simulation game, based on mental health. The idea of the game came from personal experience, along with information from other people. In the game, you are thrown into a dark and cold tunnel, with no end in sight. Along the way you will be greeted with the horrors some people experience with a mental health issue. But, within the darkness, hope can be found in the way of light, and when you manage to find the end, you will be greeted with the light at the end of the tunnel. Just. Keep. Walking.

I want to point out that all experiences of mental health are different, and no single person will experience the exact same as another. However, I hope to show some key elements of mental health as a whole, but specifically depression & anxiety, as these tend to be more common. This game will not be for everyone, and players are advised not to take what they see within The Tunnel personally. To those struggling with any mental health issues, I hope that this game shows that we are not alone, and together we can find the light at the end of our own tunnel.

Basic Controls:

- Use the WASD controls to move around.

- Press tab to open your phone.

- Navigate your phone with on screen buttons.

- Press "e" to pick up items.

- Press "q" to drop a held torch.

Instructions:

- Keep your mental stats as low as possible, and try to keep your energy as high as possible.

- Medication will lower the stat, depending on the medication, but at a cost. Coffee will increase speed, and energy, with a chance to cause a panic attack.

- A torch will act as light, and therefore help lower your mental stats, along with stopping a demon.

- Your goal is very simple, keep walking until you find the light at the end of the tunnel.

 - To do this, you will need to complete a set of requirements, that will be hidden until someone discovers them.

- The first requirement is to last over 10 minutes in the tunnel. The rest, are for you to find. Good luck.
